EN19 round bars Specifications:
- When machining shafts or long spindles, this material distorts, especially when hardened and tempered.

It can be normalized before hardening by heating at 913°C for an extended period of time and then air cooling.
Hardening
Oil satiates from a temperature of 85°C/88°C Celsius for hardening.
Tempering
En19 alloy steel can be mitigated at temperatures ranging from 205 to 649°C, following the desired toughness level. The hardness of the steel can be increased by tempering it at a lower temperature.
